Patricia Messinger of C103  has been presenting her weekday talk show, Cork Today, for the last 32 years in the same time slot on the same radio station! This rather unique record saw Patricia inducted into the BAI/IMRO hall of fame in 2021. Patricia is passionate about radio and has never lost her love for broadcasting since she started on pirate radio with CBC in Clonmel in the late 1980’s.

As a talk show host Patricia believes that everyone has a story to tell or a point to make and her real skill is in listening and allowing people to speak. Radio is such a wonderful medium and she loves to bring her listeners on a journey with her as a story unfolds. “When the phones and the texts go silent I know I’m doing my job as people are listening and totally engaged in the story being discussed”

Has she any plans to hang up the microphone? “Not until I stop loving what I’m doing!”
