Mark Cunning, Group Content Director, Wireless Ireland, is a seasoned media professional with over 20 years of experience in broadcasting and digital content. Mark began his radio career on the North Coast with the Q Radio network, subsequently moving to Cool FM in Belfast before joining i102104 ahead of its launch in 2008.

During his time with iRadio Mark held the roles of Music Director and Program controller. In 2018 Mark was chosen to lead iRadio as CEO and Content Director. He helped drive audience growth, create award-winning content, and build partnerships that boosted revenue.

Known for his collaborative leadership style and knack for innovation, Mark has shared his expertise on international stages like Radio Days Europe and Radio Days Greece. He’s passionate about fostering talent, staying ahead of media trends, and creating content that truly connects with audiences.

In 2025 Mark was appointed to the role of Group Content Director for Wireless Ireland where he’s tasked with  content strategy & planning, programming oversight, team leadership, quality control, partnerships and collaboration, audience engagement and compliance for the seven stations across the island of Ireland.
