Dr. Roddy Flynn
Dr Roddy Flynn is an Associate Professor at the School of Communications, Dublin City University and Chair of Contemporary Screen Studies. He has researched and written extensively on media policy in Ireland. He co-authored “Irish Media: A Critical History” (Four Courts: 2017) with Professor John Horgan and “The Historical Dictionary of Irish Cinema” (Rowman and Littlefield: 2019) with Dr Tony Tracy. He has acted as Principal Irish Investigator on all three iterations of the European Commission-funded Media Pluralism Monitor, researched and wrote the Consultation with Stakeholders for the BAI 2019 update of their Ownership and Control Policy and is currently Principal Irish Investigator on the Nordicom-funded Media Democracy Monitor.
